This four-strand beaded necklace was inspired by a gift I received when visiting the Amazon rain forest in Venezuela’s Canaima National Park. Multi-strand necklaces are a great way to dress up an outfit with color and style, and this one was designed around a set of tube beads made from tissue paper printed with a red and olive theme.
Lightweight and textural, the cascading arrangement combines the paper beads with round stones, wood, and small pops of copper-colored glass beads. Gathering and finishing the layered strands are two cone beads handcrafted from one of my home trees. The combination of all these natural materials give the piece a warm and naturally earthy look.
The chain has an antique copper finish, and it closes at one of three different points from choker to matinee/opera length, making the necklace versatile to accessorize different necklines.
Collections: earthy natural style, eco-friendly jewelry, ethnic inspired style, one of a kind, red fashion accessories
